Background

United Commercial Industrial Maritime Company Limited (UCIM) was incorporated to organize the distribution and servicing of FIAT cars in Malta.

The initial confidence the shown by The Fiat Group (Torino) continued over the years and the company was subsequently appointed as its local representative for all the automotive marques that fall under the umbrella of this Italian Industrial Giant.

In the early 1980s Pater Holding Company Ltd. was appointed as local agent for Hyundai Motor Company (Korea) a brand whose presence has grown consistently over the years and is today considered to be a major force in the local automotive sphere.

Today, Pater Holding Company Ltd’s automotive wing consists of:

• UCIM Company Limited – representing Fiat, Alfa Romeo and Iveco in Malta.
• Meridian Enterprises Company Limited – representing Hyundai Motor Vehicles in Malta.
• Pater Finance Company Limited – an in house finance company that provides medium term financing to clients of both UCIM Company Limited and Meridien Enterprises Company Limited.
• Valley Enterprises Company Limited – representing Waxoyl AG, Magnetti Marelli, Arexons, Luk, and FL Selenia amongst others, in Malta
• UCIMCO Overseas Company Limited – responsible for the running of TFA Auto Garage in Tripoli, Libya.
